Anderson revealed that, before leaving the fight with Cris, she was excited because she had seen many holes in the Brazilian's stand-up game, when she researched sparring videos and Cyborg's fights. The Australian provoked the Brazilian mainly when talking about her rival's training against the two-time Olympic boxing champion, Claressa shields.

“I saw that. I became even more confident. I saw more holes than positives in the footage, which made me even more excited. It was the opposite of what people said and maybe we can schedule this fight on the same card as McGregor returns to the UFC”, commented Anderson in an interview with the “Sean, Funky, and the Baddest Man” podcast.

The featherweight was even accused of “backing down” after seeing the video of Cyborg with Shields, but she assured that her personal problem was serious, despite refusing to go into details.

PUBLICITY:

“I have no obligation to talk about what is happening. It's something serious, but I'm not going to talk about it just because people demand it or think I ran away. I know what’s happening is serious, but I’m not going to say anything,” he assured.
