O Jungle Fight 91 has a date set. The next edition of the event takes place on July 15th, in Contagem, Minas Gerais. The main fight will be between Bruce Souto from Minas Gerais and Carlos Eduardo Blade from Rio for the welterweight belt (77kg).
In addition to the duel between Souto and Blade, the show features two more title fights. Eduardo 'Máquina da Dor' and Francisco Nazareno compete for the bantamweight belt (61kg), while Roggers 'The Tiger' and Rodrigo 'Zé Colméia' duel for the heavyweight belt.

With ten wins and just three defeats in his career, Bruce Souto is going through a good moment and has already won four consecutive victories. Fighting in his homeland, he will count on the fans in his favor to maintain his good streak. A Gordin Fight Team athlete, the 28-year-old from Minas Gerais believes that experience could be a differentiator in this very balanced confrontation.
“Every athlete who fights on the national stage dreams of this moment and it would be no different with me and Eduardo. I'm sure we're very well prepared for this, he's a very tough opponent, but I have a little more experience and I'll fight at home, in front of my fans. There's no secret, I'm working very hard and I'm on a good winning streak. Let’s go and get what’s ours and this belt will stay in Minas Gerais”, concluded Bruce.
To hold the title in Minas Gerais, Bruce Souto will need to break the unbeaten record of Carlos Eduardo Blade, 24, from Rio de Janeiro, who has six wins in the six fights he has competed in. There were 5 knockouts and a submission. An athlete at the ATS Team and Tatá Fight Team academies, Blade says he is fulfilling a dream and is prepared for this important moment in his career.
“It’s a dream come true. My moment has come and no one will stop me. You can be sure that the belt will be mine. I've been training focused and I'm prepared to take this big leap in my career. I know that the Rio de Janeiro fans will be on my side and it is for them that I will do my best to put on a show and bring the Jungle belt to the Marvelous City”, assured Blade.
“We are coming back with everything as audience leaders. Not only at Bandsports but we want to break the record on the internet too. There's no way around it, we always have this huge audience because it's very simple, in the Jungle the athletes come in to knockout or submit, there's no tied fight. Fighters who fight to win on points don't return to Selva. Here they fight,” said Wallid.
