Nick Diaz got involved in yet another controversy. The fighter, who has a history of doping problems, was again notified by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) for a potential violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy. However, the reason this time was not the use of a prohibited substance, but rather the lack of carrying out some tests.

Although he has not fought for over two years, Diaz, like all other fighters in the organization, is required to fill out a form informing a location to be found outside of competition, so that those responsible for USADA can find the fighter and, consequently, submit it to examinations. However, Nick was not found three times in the last 12 months, which resulted in a provisional suspension applied by Ultimate. It has not yet been announced what penalty will be imposed on the North American.

Inside the octagon the phase is not good either. It's been more than five years since Nick has won a single fight – his last victory was on October 29, 2011, over B.J. Penn, at UFC 137. Since then, he has lost the three fights he has had, the last of which to Anderson Silva, in January 2015. After the duel, Diaz was suspended for a year and a half for having been caught using marijuana, in an anti-doping test carried out post-fight. The sentence ended in August last year.
