The Brazilian Chris Cyborg is not skimping on preparation for his title fight against Megan anderson, which will take place on July 29th, at UFC 214. The featherweight called Claressa shields, two-time Olympic boxing champion, to join her camp and the two have sparred frequently and started a friendship, including photos and videos of training on both fighters' social networks.

“Claressa is the only American to win two gold medals in Olympic boxing. She is undefeated as a professional and won the WBC belt at 165 pounds. It was a great opportunity for me to train with the best female boxer! I learned a lot from today's experience and look forward to going to Flint Michigan at some point after my fight to help with one of her future camps. Cyborg Nation, let’s show support for our new partner show,” Cyborg commented on his Instagram.
Claressa became the first athlete in history, regardless of gender, to win two consecutive gold medals in boxing, winning the middleweight division in London-2012 and Rio de Janeiro-2016. She was also the first American to win an Olympic gold in the noble art. After the last Olympic cycle, she switched to professional boxing, where she has an undefeated record with three victories and is already the WBC regional champion.
Cyborg is a former Strikeforce and Invicta FC champion, and will now have the chance to win the UFC title, the only one missing from the career of one of the main MMA fighters in history. The Brazilian has a professional record of 17 wins, one loss and one fight without result. She hasn't lost since her debut in the sport, in May 2005, against Erica Paes. Cris is coming off a victory over Lina Lansberg in the main fight of UFC Brasilia, in September of last year.
