Controversial, provocative and irreverent. That's the lightweight style Kevin Lee, who has been attracting attention not only for his good performances inside the octagon, but also for his statements outside the cage. Protagonist of UFC Oklahoma, this Sunday (25), when he faces Michael chiesa, the young man, just 24 years old, guarantees that the criticism he has received for his adopted stance does not bother him. Confident, he says that people will respect him when he becomes Ultimate champion.

“People will always have something to say about you or hate you no matter what. I just try to be myself and give them who I am. I think people who really get it, and people who have actually been through this understand where I'm coming from and the things I say. Some don't understand, and that's okay. They don't bother me. I don't mind being the bad guy or anything. I am what I am. When I have the belt, they will respect me much more. They may not love me, but they will respect me”, declared Lee, in an interview with the UFC website.
Lee is going through a good moment in his career. At 24 years old, he has four consecutive victories, the most recent in March this year, when he submitted Franciso massaranduba at UFC Fortaleza. In Ultimate since 2014, Kevin has accumulated eight positive results and two negative results in the organization, having last asked for it in December 2015, when he was knocked out by Brazilian Leonardo Santos. In total, he has 15 wins and two losses on his record.
