In addition to a brief video on its social networks announcing that it will actually face Conor McGregor on August 26th in a boxing fight, former world champion Floyd Mayweather remained silent about the duel with the Irishman. However, in an interview with the North American channel BSOTV, “Money” declared himself happy with the agreement with the owner of the UFC lightweight belt.

Despite this, Mayweather refused to say how much he will earn to return to the ring against McGregor, as the two signed a confidentiality contract and the value of each person's purse cannot be disclosed.

Floyd also said that he only agreed to return from retirement to face Conor McGregor due to the appeal of the fans, who persistently asked for the superfight, once a distant dream, to become a reality.

“I can't reveal it, but both parties are happy. Both parties are very happy, both he and I. Can not wait. McGregor is a tough competitor and everyone wanted to see this fight, so I had to give it to them because they wanted to see it. They wanted this fight. I was retired, but they wanted me back and I came back”, commented the fighter.
