UFC lightweight Nate diaz was ironic when commenting on the announcement of the superfight between his arch-rival Conor McGregor and boxer Floyd Mayweather, which will take place on August 26 under boxing rules. The North American, the first man to beat the Irishman in Ultimate, when he submitted him in March 2016, at UFC 196, said that the announced duel would only be to find out who is the second best fighter in the world.

Through social media, Diaz also reproduced a photo in which McGregor appears fallen after being submitted by him at UFC 196. On that occasion, the “Bad Boy from Stockton” surprised by beating the Irishman, having replaced Rafael Dos Anjos with just a few weeks to prepare.

To the North American program “TMZ”, Nate diaz still cast doubt on the completion of the trilogy with his rival. After submitting him in March, Diaz lost to McGregor by decision at UFC 202 in August, in a fight that he claims to have won.

"We will see. I have a lot of things going on”, commented Nate, briefly and bluntly, when questioned by the program’s report.

Since losing his second fight to McGregor, Diaz has refused to return to the UFC, saying he will only fight MMA again if it is in a duel against his Irish rival. Conor, in turn, fought once again after winning the rematch, knocking out Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, and becoming the first fighter to hold two Ultimate titles simultaneously.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
