Conor McGregor used his social networks to confirm that his duel against Floyd Mayweather will indeed take place. The superfight will take place on August 26th. In a simple photo, the Irishman has already started to provoke his opponent. When confirming the fight, the UFC champion used a photo of Floyd Mayweather Sr., former boxer and father of his next opponent, teasing “Money” about his age.

At 28 years old, McGregor will face one of the greatest boxers in history in his professional debut in the noble art. Floyd Mayweather, aged 40, was champion in several categories in boxing and has an undefeated record with 49 fights and no defeats. If he passes the Irishman, he will reach 50 victories, surpassing the record of the iconic Rocky Marciano.
The American boxer also confirmed the duel with McGregor through his social networks, with a short video where the image of a promotional poster for the duel appears subtitled by an audio with the traditional call from Michael Buffer, Bruce Buffer's brother, and official announcer of his fights.
