Hector Lombard, 39 years old, is not going through a good phase either. Without officially winning since March 2014, he was defeated in his last three clashes: he lost to Neil Magny, in March 2016, for Dan Henderson, in June last year, and for John hendricks, in February this year. Signed as a goldweight by the UFC in 2012, the Cuban has not yet convinced the organization: in novels, there were five defeats, three victories and one No Contest.

Smith, in turn, is coming off a recent victory over Andrew Sanchez No. UFC Kansas City, last April. At 28 years old, the North American has already had five fights in Ultimate, recording three wins and two losses. Interestingly, his two setbacks were against Brazilians: he was finished by Antônio Braga Neto, in 2013, and surpassed in the decision by Cezar MutantIn 2016.
