Without fighting since November 2013, Georges St Pierre He didn't even step foot in the Octagon again to take action, but the Canadian himself already admits that the definitive end of his career could be near. According to the former welterweight champion, he will never fight again if he loses in his return to MMA, which should take place in the second half of this year.

“One thing I can say for sure is that I am one fight away from retiring for good. For sure. If I come back and lose, it's for me. I'm finished. I don't want to stay there to become a punching bag for young people. I can't believe I'm going to lose and feel like the best in the world. I try really hard and I feel like I'm a better version now than I was when I left. If I lose later, I'll pass the torch forward. I'm going to fight like there's no tomorrow and, looking at my record, I don't lose constantly, so I might still be there for a long time”, declared St. Pierre, in an interview with the 'MMA Hour' program.

GSP's return could happen against Michael Bisping, current middleweight champion. For the Canadian, a confrontation against the Englishman makes sense in the current scenario.

“Me against Bisping is a win-win situation for the UFC and for us. We ask to lose big, but also to win big. If I fight someone else, I might lose big, but not win big. I came back to rewrite my story and take the biggest fight possible. Right now, Bisping is the biggest. If he loses the belt, for me, he will still be the champion. He's the guy who works hard and has the most successful career in the UFC, with the most wins. He has already beaten the best and, for me, he is the main guy at the moment”, he concluded.
