Since the possibility of a duel between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather began to be treated seriously, other UFC champions have analyzed how they would get along with belt holders in the same weight range in boxing. And one of them is the holder of the Ultimate heavyweight title, Stipe Miocic. The Croatian-American guarantees that he would face Anthony Joshua, current heavyweight boxing champion and one of the biggest names in the noble art at the moment.

In an interview with the North American program “The MMA Hour”, Miocic assured that he has enough credentials to put on a balanced fight against the Englishman, who is coming off a thrilling victory over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley, when 90 thousand people saw him knock out the Ukrainian, something that hadn't happened in 13 years.

“If this fight happened, it would be a really cool duel, me against Joshua. I think it would surprise a lot of people, and it would be an incredible fight. Let's make it happen! He is an excellent person. He's a very tough fighter and he's the champion for a reason. I think I could face him, without a doubt” commented the champion, who is coming off a victory over the Brazilian junior gypsy at UFC 211.

In addition to wrestling before switching to MMA, Miocic also fought amateur boxing in the traditional North American Golden Gloves tournament. Joshua is an Olympic champion in the noble art and has 19 victories in 19 professional fights as a boxer. The Croatian-American, on the other hand, has 17 wins and two losses on his MMA record.
