The former champion Anderson Silva Last week, he found himself involved in a controversy with UFC president, Dana White. After commenting on his social networks that fans could return their tickets to UFC 212 after withdrawing from the event, the fighter drew criticism from the director. White said that Spider was encouraging the return of tickets for the show and that this detracted from other athletes who are still scheduled, such as José Aldo e Vitor belfort. The North American even said that the Brazilian had a “dirty” attitude.

Through his official Instagram, Anderson made a point of clearing up any misunderstanding with his boss and denied that he was encouraging fans to get rid of their tickets for the event. The Brazilian claimed that he was simply commenting that a refund was possible if a fan had purchased a ticket just to see him in action.
“Guys, let's be clear, firstly I answered a question from some of my fans regarding the return of tickets, as they claimed they were only going to the fight because I was going to fight. And with all the respect I have for my fans, I explained that they have the right to ask for their money back. So let it be clear to Dana and everyone that there is no personal issue or fight with the UFC. Right is right, fair is fair, there is no such thing as foul play. Anyone who goes to watch the other fighters won't miss out. I respect everyone who will fight at the event, but I also respect the questions from my fans”, commented Spider.
