“I was winning his fight with the Stephen Thompson in New York. I saw some things in the game Tyron woodley which I can capitalize on, which I will not comment on now. I know the holes he has, he is very dangerous, strong and very difficult to take down. It's a difficult fight for me, but when I get in there, it's 50% each way. I won ten out of 12 fights in this division and I know I can beat anyone here”, declared the São Paulo native, at the post-event press conference.

“I better believe it. What can I do? I need to believe. I won seven in a row, who else did that? Only “Wonderboy” (Stephen Thompson). I won 10 of 12 fights, I had a tougher path than any welterweight to get a title shot. I’m very confident that what Dana said will happen,” he concluded.
