the Polish Joanna Jedrzejczyk, which faces Jessica Andrade, this Saturday (12), at UFC 211, has big plans for his career. Joanna's idea, in fact, is to repeat the Irishman's feat Conor McGregor, the first to obtain the title in two divisions at the same time. The Polish guarantees that she has the capacity to be strawweight and flyweight champion simultaneously.

“I'm very happy that the UFC decided to open the women's flyweight division. I already predicted this a year ago. A year ago I said I would like to become UFC champion in two different divisions, so I'm happy. I used to fight at flyweight when I competed in Muay Thai and boxing and, before becoming UFC champion, my first MMA fights were at that weight. It's definitely a new challenge and a new goal. Maybe next year I will become the first UFC female champion to win belts in two different weight divisions”, commented Jedrzejczyk, in an interview with the Combate channel website.

The Polish woman said she was excited about the new category, whose weight limit (57 kg.) is between bantamweight (61 kg.) and strawweight (52 kg.). According to her, this allows other athletes not to sacrifice themselves when cutting weight or fighting above their natural category.

“We really need this category, because many fighters need to lose or gain a lot of weight to fight. We need to be healthy, we cannot accept this risk. I am very happy that we are becoming more and more professional. I don't know, I'm too small to be the cause of this, but I'm very happy that the UFC made this decision, I'm very excited for myself and other fighters”, she concluded.
