In an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie, Joinha said that he has been observing Anderson's training and says that the Brazilian is at his peak and that his dissatisfaction with Ultimate comes from the fact that he feels that he has helped the organization a lot and is not now receiving the same treatment.

“I think he's far from retiring, but I know he doesn't want to hear from you anymore. Kelvin Gastelum or anyone else. He feels like whenever the UFC needed him, he helped them and it's not a two-way street. I think he is far from the end of his career. I've seen him training and it's very impressive. He is healthier than ever. He's sticking to his diet, which is something he hasn't done before. Now, he’s on top of it”, explained the businessman.

Anderson Silva is unhappy with Ultimate for not finding a replacement for Kelvin Gastelum, his original opponent at UFC 212. Spider even demanded a duel with Yoel romero for the interim middleweight title, but was rejected by Dana White. The Brazilian then announced that he would no longer fight in Rio de Janeiro.
