Anderson was scheduled to fight against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 212, on June 3, in Rio de Janeiro, but the North American was caught in an anti-doping test and automatically removed from the duel. Without an opponent, the Brazilian asked to face Yoel Romero for the interim middleweight belt, but Dana White, president of the UFC, discarded the idea. The UFC has not yet taken a position on the situation, and 'Spider', for now, continues with his future undefined.

“Saying yes when you want to say no, is giving more value to others than yourself, is not putting your value in the right place, is not imposing limits, and that is not respecting yourself... It is the same as saying that what We feel worthless, that others can walk all over you at will. And they pass, if you allow them, they will pass without mercy, forgetting everything you achieved through honors and dedication. If we allow it, they will destroy our values. This is the way: say no. When I don't want something, I simply say no. No anger or emotion. One is not just a negative. It's our limit. A right we have to decide what we want to do or not do. It's a way of making people respect our value, this is called dignity. When we express ourselves honestly, saying what we feel, we are respected. Whether people like it or not. So if you know your value, don't let anything destroy anything or anyone else. If you take a 100 reais note and crumple it, step on it, throw it on the floor and then uncrumple it, pick it up, ask someone how much it is worth, intelligent people will answer that the note is worth 100 reais, so it doesn't matter how much they step on you , how much they will crush you, your value no one can change..

Thank you my people. Kiss in the heart”
