New UFC lightweight, the North American Justin gaethje wants a high-level fight in his debut. The former WSOF champion publicly challenged the Brazilian Edson Barboza for his first fight in his new home. Despite the challenge, Gaethje made a point of praising Edson, who she called “the toughest son of a bitch in the world”.

Gaethje, known for having exciting fights and being undefeated with 17 victories on his record, also spoke about the possibility of fighting with Tony Ferguson ou Khabib Nurmagomedov, in addition to a possible duel against Michael Johnson.

“To be honest, I looked in the mirror and said three names: Khabib, Ferguson and Barboza. When I spoke in the name of Edson Barboza, I almost had a panic attack. As soon as I felt bad, I thought “Okay, this is the son of a bitch I’m going to fight.” I called my manager and asked him to get me this fight. Who knows? That's the fight I want now. Obviously, I'm an idiot. No one is asking to fight the toughest son of a bitch on the planet. I want to make him give up, but Michael Johnson You've already done this and, you know what? A fight with him would also be great”, commented Gaethje, in an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

The American is just one of the former WSOF champions who recently migrated to the UFC. Besides him, the Brazilian Marlon moraes, who owned the organization's bantamweight title, signed with Ultimate and David Branch, owner of the middleweight and light heavyweight belts, also made his return to the promotion managed by Dana White official.
