“McGregor today has become a guy who attracts attention for everything he does and says. I think this fight between him and Mayweather involves the whole world. So I hope the fight happens. I don't think McGregor has many chances based on what little boxing I've seen of him, but I don't think he has that much skill in boxing. I think he has knockout power, a heavy hand and can knock out Mayweather (…) And if you look at the MMA scene today, who can beat a boxer by fighting boxing, just me. I want this fight between McGregor and Mayweather to happen and I’ll say more: I want McGregor to knock out Mayweather!”, said Cigano.

In addition to the subject of McGregor x Mayweather, the Brazilian also talked about his own fight. At UFC 211 on May 13th, he will try to become UFC heavyweight champion again by facing the current belt holder, Stipe Miocic. Confident, Cigano is betting that he will get the rematch by knockout – the former champion beat Miocic, by decision, in 2014.

“If it happens as I have planned, before the end of the second round I will knock him out. I'm very confident. Of course, within a good perception. I am motivated, confident and know what I have to offer. Considering everything that could happen, I say that before the third round, at the end of the second round, he will fall”, concluded the Brazilian.
