the american Kelvin Gastelum finally broke his silence after being caught in a drug test for marijuana use at UFC Fortaleza. The middleweight, who had a fight scheduled against Anderson Silva at UFC 212, he ended up being removed from the event, but he could be free at the end of July, if he admits to using the banned substance during preparation for the fights.

Through his official Twitter, Gastelum made a point of apologizing to Anderson Silva for leaving Spider without an opponent for his return fight to Rio de Janeiro (where he hasn't played since 2012), and invited the Brazilian to a duel in New York, where the UFC will hold an event on July 25th.
“My apologies and respect to Anderson Silva. I won’t be able to fight in Rio de Janeiro, but will we be able to fight in New York in July?” asked the middleweight, who is coming off a victory over Vitor belfort in March, at the same UFC Fortaleza where he was caught anti-doping – it is not yet known whether the result of the fight will be maintained or not, as marijuana is not essentially recognized as a performance enhancer.
Since Gastelum left UFC 212, Ultimate has struggled to maintain Anderson Silva at the event, with few options to encourage the Brazilian. Recently, Spider himself complained about the organization and asked for a fight for the interim middleweight title against the Cuban Yoel romero, number one in the ranking.
