Anderson Silva is, in fact, angry with Ultimate. After complaining about the organization's delay in officializing an opponent for his fight at UFC Rio, on June 3rd, the Brazilian did not hide his dissatisfaction with the fact that Georges St Pierre fight for the middleweight belt against Michael Bisping. According to Spider, seeing the Canadian, who hasn't fought in almost four years, 'jump the queue' is disrespectful to all the other fighters in the division.

“In my mind, in my opinion, it is disrespectful to other fighters in the category. It's a joke. It's disrespectful to other athletes. I'm very disappointed in Dana. I'm tired, I don't need this anymore. I don't believe anything Dana says, because nothing happens. He and Lorenzo told me that, when GSP returned, I would face him in a super fight. I said, “Okay.” And, one day, GSP decides to come back and fight for the belt? That doesn’t make sense, my God!” declared Anderson, in an interview with the North American program “The MMA Hour”.

PUBLICITY:

It's worth remembering that when Anderson was middleweight champion and St. Pierre owned the welterweight belt, a superfight between the two was heavily speculated, including by Lorenzo Fertitta, former owner of the UFC. The businessman would have tried everything to convince GSP to move up and face Spider for the under-84 kg title, but the Canadian was never interested in the duel and retired in 2013, after defending his title against John hendricks, at UFC 167.
