UFC president Dana White revealed his estimates of how much Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather should receive it if they agree to do a boxing superfight. The manager, who has the Irishman under contract, said he is close to making an agreement official that will allow the UFC lightweight champion to migrate to the noble art. The next step, according to Dana, is to talk to the multi-time boxing champion's team.
For White, Conor McGregor should receive around US$75 million (R$236 million) to face Floyd Mayweather, who has officially come out of retirement with the intention of finishing the fight. Former champion of several categories in boxing, the North American would receive more than the Irishman: Floyd's purse should reach more than US$100 million (R$315 million). The total would be around US$175 million, or R$551 million.

And, if the fight sells as well as I think it can, Floyd will earn over US$100 million (about R$315 million) and Conor will receive US$75 million (R$236 million)”, commented Dana White , to the North American TV program “The Herd”.
Shortly after the UFC president's interview, McGregor used his Twitter to express his satisfaction with the closeness of the agreement. The Irishman simply wrote “Thankful for the cheese” – in North American slang, cheese can mean money. Despite the optimistic tone, Dana White admitted that the fight may not be closed and that he is helping Conor because of everything he has done for Ultimate.
“He (Mayweather) feels he is the A side (stronger side of the negotiation) and should be paid more. We haven't entered into this negotiation yet. I wanted to close with McGregor first, because McGregor is under contract with me. At the end of the day, does this fight make a lot of sense to me? Do not do. But Conor really wants to do this, and I've said it many times, the boy didn't show up and saved some important fights for us, so I'm in. We will resolve this”, declared the leader.
