Awaiting rematch between Jon Jones e Daniel Cormier It can finally get off the ground. Dana White, president of the UFC, revealed that the intention is to schedule the light heavyweight title duel for UFC 214, on July 29th, which will take place in the city of Anaheim, California (USA). However, the manager highlighted that if Jones is not available on the date, he could be “passed behind” by Jimi Manuwa.

Jon Jones was suspended for one year by USADA (US Anti-Doping Agency) after being caught in an anti-doping test on the eve of UFC 200, in July 2016. The penalty was applied retroactively, meaning the former welterweight champion heavyweights will be able to return to the Octagon in July 2017. He hasn't fought since April last year, when he defeated Ovince St Preux at UFC 197 and won the interim light heavyweight belt.
The first time they faced each other, Cormier was defeated by 'Bones' by unanimous decision from the judges, at UFC 187, in January 2015. This is the only defeat in the current champion's record at 93kg.
