UFC president calls for Ronda Rousey's retirement: 'She won't come back'

Dana White, president of the franchise, once again said that Ronda will not fight MMA again

The signs of retirement Ronda Rousey of MMA are getting stronger and stronger. Last weekend, during a conversation with journalists, UFC president Dana White revealed that he maintains weekly contact with the former Ultimate women's bantamweight champion, but was optimistic about the American's return to the Octagon.

“I haven't heard anything (about her wanting to fight for the UFC again). Ronda and I talk once a week, maybe once every two. She hasn't said anything to me about coming back and if I had to guess, I'd say she's not coming back," White said.

This is the second time that Dana points to the blonde's possible retirement. In January, about a month after Ronda's defeat to Amanda nunes, the agent revealed that the fighter was not excited about fighting again, and indicated that she should pursue a career in cinema.

Ronda Rousey She was one of the pioneers of women's MMA, having been instrumental in women's entry into the UFC. Before her, Dana White himself had commented that Ultimate would never allow fights between women in the octagon. With the arrival of the Olympic bronze medalist to the sport, the manager changed his mind and decided to include the bantamweight division. Ronda won her first 12 fights, submitting or knocking out all of her opponents. At the end of 2015, she lost her UFC belt to Holly holm and, a year later, came the defeat to Amanda.
