On its official blog, Wanderlei Silva, confirms that he will train at Randy Couture's gym and that “The Natural” will be his new coach, the Brazilian also commented that his fight against Keith Jardine at UFC-84, in May, is practically certain. Check out the text from Wand's blog below.
This week I went to talk to Couture to find out if he could be my new coach and he was very happy with the request and will give me wrestling lessons personally. I will do fight training with his athletes at a time where everyone trains together, now is a time when several athletes have fights scheduled so everyone is training hard. The photos on his website are from our first class. I am a very lucky athlete to have a private lesson like this. In addition to being a great athlete, he is also a great teacher. I trained with Phil Baroni as he is an athlete at the academy and was chosen by Couture to train with me on that day. But I'm not aware of his fight schedule and I don't know if he'll fight Ninja or not. I'm just doing my training and minding my own business. The good news is that I'm leaving now to sign the contract for my fight against Jardine and you're the first to know officially. I'm already getting into the rhythm and I'm going to train hard to get the victory. I want to thank everyone who sends messages here on the site for their support.
