the trajectory of Thiago Pitbull as a lightweight (up to 70kg) he only lasted one fight. “The preparation is great, I've already done the last sparring session and I'm ready. I thought the fight was good, Côté is experienced, he has been in the UFC for a long time, so I think it will be cool to beat him. He's a guy who has ok striking, ok groundwork, ok wrestling, he started using wrestling more in this category, he's a tough guy, but I'm better than him in every way. Just impose my game and get the victory. I find it very difficult to go long distance. If it goes the distance, he'll take a beating for 15 minutes, but I think I'll finish in the first round or at most in the second round. It's going to be a knockout. The judge will take me off my feet”, guaranteed the fighter.

Coming off two consecutive losses, Pitbull stated that he does not feel pressured in the organization. According to him, although he is not even in the category ranking, his focus continues to be the belt, which currently belongs to Tyron woodley.

“I don’t worry about my situation in the UFC. I know the value I have as a fighter, that doesn't worry me. The last fight didn't count, it was a horrible situation for me, in a category where I couldn't make weight. A lot of things went wrong the week of the fight, a month before too, it was kind of a bad thing that came for the good. Nowadays I'm much better in my home category, it's a situation that didn't work out and I'm going to show that this is my division and beat these guys. I'm still young, having fun, I have a lot of experience, many years of UFC, I think I can do even more. My goal is always to get the belt. I only took myself out of the rankings twice. Once when I spent two years without fighting, I had four surgeries, one after the other, and the second was now, dropping weight. But I've always fought with the best, I'm going back to the rankings, I know I'm capable of becoming champion in this category, it's just a matter of time and getting back into action”, he concluded.
