The outcome of the duel between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather is one of the most anticipated news in combat sports in 2017. So much so that a simple joke with the fact can “go viral”. That's what happened last Saturday (1st), when John Kavanagh, the Irishman's main trainer and friend, “announced” his pupil's fight with the boxer, in an April Fools' Day prank, known as April Fools' Day.

Kavanagh used his official Twitter to make the joke, which soon found thousands of retweets and likes. More than 10 people interacted with the coach, who has more than 170 followers on his social networks and also works with names like Artem Lobov and Gunnar Nelson, both UFC fighters.

He also made fun of the fact that his tweet was among the top topics talked about by users of the social network in Ireland and the United Kingdom last Saturday.
