The middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, was recently frustrated with the silence of the UFC and his next opponent, Georges St Pierre. The Englishman said that, since the announcement of the fight (no date or location yet), he has not heard anything more about when and where he would face the Canadian. When exposing his criticisms of GSP, Bisping took the opportunity to “reveal”, in his opinion, his rival’s plan for returning to the octagon.

For the “Conde”, St. Pierre intends to have three more fights for Ultimate, all worth titles, starting at middleweight, passing through welterweight and ending at lightweight, with a confrontation that would end his career, against the star Conor McGregor, current champion at 70 kg.

“Look, I think this is GSP’s plan. He comes back, fights me and beats me. About that, Demian Maia wins Jorge masvidal, faces Woodley and beats him, as St. Pierre thinks will happen. And then, he gives up the middleweight title and faces Maia for the welterweight title. GSP is an excellent wrestler and can maintain Demian Maia standing up and beating him in striking. And then, as he already said, he gives up the welterweight title and faces Conor McGregor for the light belt. I guarantee this is his big plan. Really, if GSP achieves all this, he will become the best MMA fighter in history”, commented Bisping, in an interview with the North American radio station SiriusXM.

For the Englishman, it makes sense that St. Pierre's last fight would be against McGregor, as the Canadian's coach himself has already asked. In Bisping's opinion, a duel between GSP and the Irishman would be “almost” the size of McGregor x Mayweather and even bigger than the fights between the current lightweight champion and Nate diaz.

“I really think he's going to try this fight against McGregor, which would make him a lot, a lot of money. It would be almost the size of Conor against Floyd Mayweather and would have more impressive numbers than McGregor's fights with Nate diaz. It would be huge,” he argued.
