The flyweight title challenger Wilson reis will have the mission to prevent the champion Demetrious Johnson achieve the record of 10 consecutive title defenses, a mark that only Anderson Silva currently loads. And to help his compatriot, the Brazilian already knows what he must do to surprise Johnson, a big favorite at the bookmakers.

According to Reis, who is on a three-fight win streak, the ideal game plan to beat DJ is to put pressure on him at all times, and make him go backwards. Thus, the Brazilian believes that his evolution in wrestling, muay thai and boxing will make a difference.
“I am a complete fighter. I've evolved a lot in striking and wrestling and I'm focusing on ground and pound to be even more complete and to fight well in all areas of MMA. But I think the best part of my game is the pressure I put on my opponents. I'm always looking to end struggles and I'm always moving forward. I think this fight will be like that. I will dominate the center of the octagon and control Demetrious Johnson. I'm going to make him go backwards and that will be the strategy for victory”, commented Reis, to the North American website MMA Junkie.
Wilson challenges Demetrious Johnson in the main fight of UFC Kansas, which takes place on April 15th. In addition to the duel for the flyweight title, the event will feature Ronaldo Jacare, facing up Robert whittaker, by the midfielders, in addition to Augusto Tanquinho against aljamain sterling e Renato Moicano measuring forces with Jeremy Stephens, in fights for cocks and feathers, respectively.
