UFC lightweight fighter, Joe Duffy arrived in Ultimate with the status of being, until then, the only executioner in his career. Conor McGregor, whom he finished in 2010, when they were both still working in Ireland. Seven years later, “Irish Joe”, as he is known, stated that the UFC champion will not be successful in a possible boxing duel against Floyd Mayweather.

“On paper, I think Mayweather has an advantage. He is one of the greatest of all time. What he did to Manny Pacquiao – and Pacquiao is one of the greatest boxing fighters I've ever seen – proves the level he's at. Canelo Alvarez placeholder image is probably a better boxer than Conor, and look at how Floyd boxed with him. It takes a while to get into the swing of boxing, and even longer to excel. I think Conor pursued boxing for a long time, and he could have done well, for sure. But Floyd has been doing this since he was a child. I really can’t see any other result other than Floyd Mayweather’s victory”, declared the Irishman, in an interview with the website “Bloody Elbow” (USA).

According to Duffy, Floyd has already faced better fighters than McGregor, which leaves him in a position to not be surprised by Conor.

“In combat sports, like boxing or MMA, there is always the chance of a “bomb” ending the fight. I think Floyd Mayweather is used to facing better knockout artists than Conor. Boxers hit really, really hard,” he concluded.

Joe Duffy, 29 years old, has a record of 16 wins and just two losses. In the UFC, there are four positive results and one negative. His most recent performance was last Saturday (18), when he beat Reza Madadi by points in the UFC London.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
