After the knockout defeat to Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fortaleza last Saturday (11), Vitor belfort received a 30-day medical suspension. During this period, the Brazilian will not be able to do any type of training, which could hinder his preparation for a possible farewell fight at UFC 212.

This is because Belfort will have less than two months to train for the event, which takes place on June 3, in Rio de Janeiro. The 30-day suspension leaves the Brazilian on hold until April 11th. The suspension, given by CABMMA (Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission), also prevents the Phenomenon from taking action for the next 45 days.

Shortly after the defeat in the main fight of UFC Fortaleza, Belfort expressed his desire to have his last professional MMA fight in his hometown, and did not ask for any opponent, despite having ruled out a rematch with Anderson Silva.

All athletes who were in action in the capital of Ceará received some type of medical suspension. Tim means, defeated by Alex Cowboy at the opening of the main portion of the event, he received the biggest hook: he will not fight for six months, unless he presents an x-ray of his right foot in good condition. In this case, the suspension drops to one month.
