Despite having had his victory against John hendricks highly contested in 2013, Georges St Pierre has no interest in a rematch against the current UFC middleweight. The Canadian had his last fight against the North American, in 2013, and now that he has officially returned, “Big Rigg” himself has campaigned for a new fight against GSP.

“I think the best of John hendricks that I have already seen will no longer appear. When he fought Jon Fitch, Martin Kampmann, Carlos Condit, and when he fought me, this was the best and he won't appear again. I don't see the same enthusiasm, the same explosion. Maybe he'll prove me wrong at middleweight, but I think he's not the same anymore”, commented St. Pierre on the official Ultimate podcast.

Despite criticism of his former opponent, GSP believes that Hendricks can return to the title route in the new division. The Canadian will try to take the middleweight title from the champion Michael Bisping, but sees the North American with a chance of returning to the top, this time in a heavier category.

“We’ll see what will happen to him. Maybe if he can get back to what he was, he could be relevant again. I believe he has all the tools to enter the fight for the title at 84 kg.”, he pointed out.
