Xande wants revenge in the Super Challenge

The 2006 Jiu-Jitsu absolute champion, Xande Ribeiro, guarantees that he will be on top of his game in the Super Challenge Grappling. Xande is finishing a season of seminars in Japan and promises to intensify his no-gi training to fight for the Super Challenge Grappling title and the US$15 prize.

Asked about his opponents, Xande states that it is an honor to participate in an event with so many tough opponents, but he does not hide his intention of returning the points defeat he suffered to David Avellan, at ADCC 2007. “I'm dying to catch that runaway. With the Super Challenge rules he is lost”, predicts Xande.

Confirmed for next December 8th, at the luxurious club Athletico Paulistano, in São Paulo, the Super Challenge Grappling will bring together 16 fighters from all over the world in the biggest absolute Submission event ever held. Names such as Demian Maia, Fabricio Werdum, David Avellan, Rafael Lovato, as well as Jeff Monson, Delson Pé de Chumbo, Tarsis Humphreys and Nino Schembri and André Galvão. The grand champion will win a main prize of US$ 15 thousand and will receive a Katana from the hands of Rickson Gracie.
