“That was my goal from the beginning: the UFC belt. This wasn't a success the first time because I think I missed my opportunity when I lost to Amanda. The second time, I will not lose (…) She knows that I am a dangerous opponent for her and she will try to avoid this fight, Maybe she will say something like 'let's do it later' or maybe she will say 'I want to fight in the feathers'. She's just looking for any reason to avoid the fight because she knows I'm dangerous. I know she's dangerous. I’m ready to fight”, commented Valentina to the North American website TMZ.

In the first duel between the fighters, Amanda came out on top. The Brazilian dominated the fight in the first two rounds, alternating between her well-known standing game and takedowns and using her jiu-jitsu. In the third round, however, the Lioness got tired and Shevchenko began to dominate the actions, coming close to finishing the fight at times.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
