Marcos Pezão faces former challenger St. Preux at UFC Nashville

Out of the rankings, Brazilian has a great opportunity against the eighth placed light heavyweight

Coming off a quick victory over Jeremy Kimball at UFC Denver in January, Marcos Foot will have a great opportunity to establish himself as one of the best light heavyweights in the world: he must face the number 8 in the ranking and former challenger for the interim title of the category, Ovince St Preux. The fight must take place in UFC Nashville, on April 22. The information is from the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

Despite alternating victories and defeats, Pezão has had exciting fights: all six of his Ultimate fights ended in the first round. He knocked out Rick Monster, Igor Pokrajac and Jeremy Kimball, in addition to submitting Clint Hester, but also beating Nikita Krylov (rear naked choke) and Gadzhimurad Antigulov (guillotine). There are four wins and two losses in the UFC for the Brazilian.

St. Preux is in a bad phase and has a rope around his neck. After achieving seven victories (including a knockout over Mauritius Shogun) and two defeats, the American of Haitian descent had the chance to face Jon Jones at UFC 197 for the interim light heavyweight title. OSP lost a decision to Bones and was later knocked out by Jimi Manuwa. In his last fight, another setback, this time for Volkan oezdemir at UFC Houston on February 4.
