The narrow victory Anderson Silva about Derek Brunson at UFC 208, held last Saturday (11), in Brooklyn, continues to yield controversial statements regarding the judges' results. Michael Bisping, current middleweight champion, went further in his criticism: in addition to believing that Anderson didn't win the duel, the Englishman said that the 'Spider' wasn't fair to anyone, especially his fans.

“No (I thought Anderson won), I thought he lost. I guess you could argue he won, but I was disappointed. I think Anderson screwed himself, everyone in the audience and the UFC. It was obvious that Anderson was the better fighter, he defended most of the takedowns, but when he decided to pull the trigger and throw something, he dominated Brunson, but he didn't pull the trigger, he just stood there doing the usual Anderson things. He has no sense of urgency because he is the “big Anderson Silva”. Unfortunately, that's not good enough. He was very lucky with his decision and I think it's unfortunate, because, like everyone else, I'm a fan of Anderson Silva and I watch his fights, and I feel like he didn’t do justice to his legion of fans” he stated, in an interview with the program “The MMA Hour” (USA).
As usual, Bisping, always controversial in his statements, mocked Anderson's physique, alluding to the Brazilian's doping – who was suspended for a year for using the banned substances drostanolone and androsterone, although he claimed he ingested it through contaminated supplements.
“He looked thinner and had more love handles, it’s strange. It's strange what happens when you don't take steroids”, teased Bisping, who concluded by saying that he would accept giving the Brazilian a rematch, although he believes that the confrontation would not attract public attention.
“I would face the Anderson Silva, but I don’t think it would sell, not after last weekend”, he concluded.
