Anderson Silva won Derek Brunson at UFC 208, held this Saturday (11), in Brooklyn, and broke the almost five years without a victory that haunted him. However, the Brazilian's 41 years of age, although it may seem like a disadvantage, is, according to the fighter himself, an additional reason to stand out.

“I'm old, very old, but I have a lot of experience. I have perfect timing. This is more important. (…) The guys are faster, but I have better time than them. I have this advantage over the kids. Of course, there will be a time when I will have to stop, but it hasn't arrived yet”, he joked in conversation with journalists, at the post-event press conference.
Asked if age had any effect on his own cut, Anderson stated during the question and answer session that he felt fatigue and the symptoms of his 41 years in the third and final round. “Yes, in the last round. I thought, 'Oh my God, I'm old.' But it does not matter. When I'm there, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if I'm 41 or 42. I just put my heart into it. […] Now I’m smarter. When I was young, I didn’t pay attention to dangerous movements”, he narrated.
With the triumph, Anderson won a fight in the UFC again after more than five years of fasting – five fights. With the conquest before Derek Brunson, the Brazilian puts himself in the mix to challenge the middleweight champion (84 kg) Michael Bisping.
