The fight
Jacaré started surrounding the American, but it didn't take long for him to dive at the legs of Tim Boestch, who defended himself correctly. The fight began with the two studying each other in the center of the octagon. Glover, not wanting to risk standing, soon took the fight to the ground. The Brazilian attempted a guillotine choke, but the American defended himself well. Teixeira swept and got back on top, trying a kata-gatame, without success. The duel returned to standing, with the two releasing a few blows, without much effectiveness.
Cannonier returned for the second round, surrounding the Brazilian, who measured the distance and had no trouble getting the takedown. On top in half guard, the Brazilian continued to strike at the waist line. Jared defended himself well and blocked the miner's arms, which wasn't very effective. With the fight lukewarm, the central referee ordered the fighters to stand. Glover continued throwing jabs at his opponent, who responded with dangerous crosses.
In the last round, Glover didn't even last 30 seconds and took another takedown on his opponent, landing in half guard.
