Brunson praises Anderson: 'Faster than 95% of the division'

The North American is coming off a defeat, but had achieved five consecutive victories before the setback

Derek Brunson has a tough task at UFC 208 this Saturday (11): face Anderson Silva. However, during the promotion for the fight, many said that the former champion is no longer the same, a notion that the American completely rejects. For Brunson, Spider remains one of the best fighters in the world, and is faster than 95% of middleweights.

“If we look at his last two fights, Anderson has had a series of unfortunate events. In the fight against Bisping, who is now the champion, he knocked the guy out and then they started the duel again, so a lot of strange things happened to him. Anderson may not be the same, but he's still faster than 95% of the division and his skills never go away, he still has it. So it’s going to be a good fight”, commented Brunson in a press interview after the pre-UFC 208 open training sessions.
