Even though Holly holm is a former world champion in MMA and boxing, Germaine DeRandamie, her opponent in the main fight of UFC 208, can also boast an important feat in the noble art. In 2008, the Dutch woman knocked out a man, actor and presenter Tom Waes, at an event organized by Tomtesterom, a Belgian TV program.

In 2007, Waes, who was preparing for several challenges on the show, trained for three months to face De Randamie, who ended up knocking him out after exchanging blows, as you can see in the video below.

This Saturday (11), in case of victory over Holm, De Randamie will become the second European woman to win a UFC title after Joanna Jedrzejczyk and being the first owner of the women's featherweight belt.
