The first international edition of Brave CF, which will be held in Curitiba, on March 18, will have as its main fight a duel between Brazilians: the rivals lucas mineiro and Paulo “Bananada” make their debut at the event and face each other in a five-round fight, valid for featherweight. The event was founded by the prince of Bahrain and its first two shows took place in the Middle East.
Known for being one of the few athletes to win fights in three different categories in the UFC (bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight), lucas mineiro comes from three consecutive victories and left Ultimate with a triumph over Scottish Rob Whiteford. His last fight was against Gilson Lomanto, when he won by submission. He has 18 wins and three losses on his record.
Paulo “Bananada” Gonçalves won his last duel, in Germany, against Nilson Pereira and increased his record to 22 wins against 11 losses. The two have a rivalry on the national MMA scene, and represent traditional Brazilian academies. Mineiro is from Chute Boxe – Diego Lima, with Thomas almeida, Felipe Sertanejo e charles do brox, while Bananada trains at X-Gym, alongside Erick silva, Warlley alves e Ronaldo Jacare.
