CM Punk guarantees that he will fight MMA again: “I’m working intensely”

Despite defeat in his debut, telecatch star guarantees that he will fight again, whether in the UFC or not

The crushing defeat for Mickey gall, in September 2016, at UFC 203, in his debut as a professional fighter, he discouraged CM Punk from pursuing a career in the fighting world. More than four months after the defeat, the star of telecatch American assured that he is looking for a new confrontation in MMA, whether in the UFC or in another organization.

“I'm working intensely (to return to fights). I'm proposing names, opponents and dates to Dana (White). I don't even know how it will be, but if it's not in the UFC, it will be somewhere else. I've been dedicating myself to training. I'll get there – said the fighter, in an interview with “Fox Sports” (USA).

CM Punk, 38, debuted in professional MMA about 18 months after signing a contract with the UFC. During this period, the fighter carried out intensive training at Duke Roufus' gym, alongside names such as Anthony Pettis, Tyron woodley and Ben Askren. Despite the athlete's expectations, Dana White, president of Ultimate, went so far as to declare that it was unlikely that the North American would have a second chance in the franchise.
