The light heavyweight duel between Corey anderson and Jimi Manuwa had already been announced for the UFC London, which takes place on March 18th. However, the lack of Ultimate options for the event meant that the fight was promoted to main fight status. The information is from the North American website MMA Junkie.
Anglo-Nigerian Manuwa is coming off a stunning knockout victory over Ovince St Preux, former challenger for the category's interim title, at UFC 204, also held in the British capital. American Anderson also won his last fight, knocking out Sean O'Connell at UFC Albany, in December last year. The English veteran's farewell fight Brad pickett, against Henry Briones, should serve as the co-main event.
Two Brazilians are scheduled for the London event: Vincent Luque tries his fifth consecutive victory against Leon edwards and Francimar Bodão takes revenge against Darren stewart – the first duel between the two ended without result, after the Englishman delivered an unintentional headbutt, which was not seen by the referee, before knocking out the Brazilian.
