The UFC's busy women's bantamweight category (up to 61kg) will have another fight of great importance this weekend, which should define the champion's next opponent Amanda nunes. Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Penna, first and second in the category rankings, respectively, will face each other in the main fight of UFC on FOX 23, an event to be held in Denver (USA).

In the second most important attraction of the night, the welterweights (up to 77kg) Donald Cerrone e Jorge masvidal face each other with an eye on the top of the division. Situation very similar to the confrontation between the heavyweights Andrei Arlovski e Francis Ngannou, who measure forces in the octagon a duel before. The fight between Alex Caceres and Jason Knight opens the main card.
In the preliminary portion, four Brazilians were selected, with greater emphasis on the bantamweight division. Raphael Assunção, 4th in the ranking, which faces the promising aljamain sterling, in a duel that could put the winner close to a title fight. Light heavyweights Henrique Frankenstein and Marcos Foot are also present. They face Jordan Johnson and Jeremy Kimball. Brazil's first representative on the night will be the debutant Alexandre pantoja, participant of TUF 24. He competes against fellow debutant Eric Shelton, in a fight valid for the flyweight division.
Before stepping into the octagon, the 24 athletes scheduled for the event will participate in the official UFC Denver weigh-in. Starting at 22pm (Brasília time) this Friday (27th), the fighters will step on the scale and come face to face for the last time before the fights.
