Brazilian Marcel Fortuna is the UFC's new signing. At 31 years old, the heavyweight already has a date, location and opponent set to make his debut in the organization: he will face North American Anthony Hamilton at UFC Houston, scheduled for February 4th.

Coming from jiu-jitsu, Fortuna participated in the preliminary fights of the 23rd season of TUF, in the United States, but was eliminated after losing to Cory Hendricks, on points. In MMA, he has a record with eight wins and just one loss.
More experienced, Anthony Hamilton has already accumulated seven fights in the company, but has never managed to achieve a winning streak: there are four setbacks and three triumphs. The last time he entered the octagon, he was submitted by Francis Ngannouin December 2016.
In addition to Marcel, two more Brazilians are scheduled on the card. Strawweight Jéssica 'Bate-Estaca', who faces Angela Hill, and the also debutant Ricardo Carcacinha, who will face the Japanese Michinori Tanaka, in a duel valid for the bantamweight category. The main fight of the show is between featherweights Dennis Bermudez e Chan sung jung.
