Temporarily suspended by USADA (UFC Anti-Doping Agency), the heavyweight Frank mir, 37 years old, doesn't even know when he will be able to return to the Octagon, but that doesn't stop the former Ultimate champion from wanting to compete again. On the contrary. According to the fighter himself, the time away – he hasn’t fought since March 2016, when he was knocked out by Mark Hunt – only increased his desire to fight.

“Actually, all of this just made me want to compete more (…) I'm going to the gym, training just to stay healthy and moving. And I can move and my brain and my body follow what my brain knows what to do. I am very dangerous. It's that connection and, obviously, in a few years the path will follow the same path as the path of these athletes who still manage to fight in their 40s. Mark Hunt is doing very well and he is in his early 40s, Dan Henderson should probably be middleweight champion today. But, being realistic, being 50 years old and still fighting at a high level is something that is somewhat difficult for human psychology”, declared Mir, in an interview with the program “Sub Radio” (USA).

But at this point, I just want to get out there and compete again,” he concluded.
