Following McGregor, Nate Diaz will take a boxing license

Lightweight wants to follow in the footsteps of his rival, who is licensed to box professionally in California

Nate diaz seems to be thinking about other alternatives for his next fight. And that would include something outside of MMA. According to information from the North American ESPN website, the lightweight is in the process of obtaining a license to box in Nevada, a state whose largest city is Las Vegas. Just like your rival did Conor McGregor, licensed to box professionally in California and negotiating a fight against former fighter Floyd Mayweather. McGregor and Diaz starred in two UFC events last year, with one victory each.

Diaz paid a fine of US$50 to the Nevada Athletic Commission and has already begun the process of obtaining his license. The organization revealed to ESPN that Nate and his brother Nick Diaz the doors are open to fighting again in Las Vegas.

“Nate paid his fine and started the process to be licensed in boxing. As soon as he sends us the completed applications, we hope to approve it. He and his brother are invited to fight in Nevada, whether for the UFC or for a boxing promoter,” said Bob Bennett, director of the institution.

Nate and Nick Diaz They are known for their aggressive style and quality in boxing and jiu-jitsu. Both train with Andre Ward, Olympic boxing champion and current owner of world belts in light heavyweight and super middleweight. Ward is considered the second best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport, behind only Román 'Chocolatito' González.
