It has been 19 days since Amanda nunes knocked out Ronda Rousey in just 48 seconds at UFC 207, on December 30, 2016, but the women's bantamweight champion continues to poke at the American. According to the Brazilian, 'Rowdy' adopted the wrong strategy for the fight and had fear in her eyes after being hit by her.

“I knew she would try to exchange blows with me. I think she did it for her ego, but it was a completely wrong strategy to fight someone like me. When I landed my first blow on her, I felt like she was finished. Her eyes showed it. I saw fear. I was afraid that I would land another blow, because the first one was a jab”, declared Nunes, in an interview with “Fox 11”, from Los Angeles (USA).

Asked about Ronda's future, Amanda stated that she believes in the North American star's return, as long as she has strength, family support and, above all, seeks development in other academies.

“I've been through a moment like this in my career. It's much harder to lose, but if you're strong, you'll be able to come back like I did. Make some adjustments, change training, go to another team. Passion for life and family must be with her. This base is very important”, said the Brazilian, who concluded by confirming her desire to compete for the top division title.

PUBLICITY:

“My next step is to move up a category and look for the featherweight belt.”
