Last Saturday night (14), an unusual event marked the strawweight duel (up to 52kg) between Amy Montenegro and Celine Haga at Invicta FC 21: the winner ended the fight passed out in the Octagon. In the final seconds of the third round, Haga applied a rear naked choke to her opponent, who fainted, but did not tap out. However, the referee did not realize that Amy was unconscious, and only stopped the fight after the final bell had sounded.
In the end, as the fight was not stopped within regulation time, Montenegro, who had won the previous two rounds, was declared the winner, despite boos from the audience at the Scottish Rite Temple, in Kansas City (USA).
