The Brazilian made a point of praising him recently and reiterated his desire to test himself against the Irishman, currently involved in negotiations to face Floyd Mayweather in boxing.

“Now, old man, I'm starting to challenge everyone. Oh, I want to hit this dwarf…what's the boy's name again…McGregor. It's not provocation. It's just that I forgot, I'm old. Old man knows how it is. I have this desire to test myself against him. I think he is a guy who has an unusual ability. I don't know if he would weigh up to 81, 82 kg, which is the weight I can reach. But he's a guy I'd like to test myself before I end my career. I think it would be a great fight for the fighting world and for the history of the UFC”, commented the former middleweight champion to the Sportv channel.

Anderson also commented on the belt situation in his home category, middleweight. Spider believes that his personal friend Ronaldo Jacare should be the next to challenge the champion Michael Bisping. But he assured that he would like to have a rematch with the Englishman and revealed that he may even drop in weight if he regains possession of the 84 kg belt.

“For everything I've done in the sport, I think I deserve to face Bisping for the belt. Jacaré has been in line for a long time, but, for the business, a fight that would sell a lot would be between me and Bisping for the belt. According to the rules of the sport, Jacaré should fight for the belt, and I'm rooting for that. If it doesn't happen and I have the opportunity, of course I would fight. But I wouldn't keep the title, I would definitely abandon it and move to the top category or go down to the bottom. When I'm training my weight drops a lot, I've reached 78kg”, he commented on the “Combate News” program on the Combate channel.

Anderson hasn't been in action since July last year. At UFC 200, the Brazilian entered at the last minute to face the champion Daniel Cormier in a light heavyweight duel without winning the belt. Despite the defeat, Spider was celebrated for his courage and performance.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
