“Nothing has been confirmed. I spoke to Ed (Soares) and Joinha (Jorge Guimarães) this week. Maybe I'll fight in June or July in Brazil. I'm waiting to see what happens. It's been a 20-year career. It's a great feeling to be still active today. I hope I can do this fight in Brazil, give this fight as a gift to Brazilians”, he declared, in an interview with the program 'Combate News'.

When asked about his future in the organization, 'Spider', 41 years old, ruled out the possibility of retiring in the coming years and stated that he intends to have at least five or six more fights, and did not rule out a new title fight.

“I have some fights in my contract. Five or six fights. I intend to do them. Depending on my performance, I may have the opportunity to fight for the belt again, but it's not something I'm looking for. I want to do the fights under my contract, do good fights, and I hope to do them all and bring joy to those of you who follow me”, concluded the Brazilian.
